The most iconic sub-units in K-pop

Sub-units in the K-pop industry have long been apparent. Hallyu kings Super Junior started their own way back in 2005 and groups across the second and third generations of K-pop idols have also been continuously creating them. SEVENTEEN's BSS even recently made a comeback after a five-year hiatus and proved their sub-unit is one of the best as they broke records and bagged numerous awards.
In the Korean music industry, a sub-unit refers to a smaller group of artists that comes from an existing group. The concept allows K-pop idols to explore more sides of their artistry outside their typical image in the group. Basically, with this, K-pop idols have more room to explore.
