'The Voice Kids' welcomes new coaches, journey host for exciting new season

'The Voice Kids' officially introduced its new season to members of the press and media, unveiling an exciting lineup of coaches and the introduction of a journey host who will guide the young talents throughout their musical adventure.

Returning to the iconic red chair is Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose who will be joined by new coaches Pop-Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino and Pinoy rap legend Gloc-9, who are set to discover the next generation of young singing talents.
Julie expressed her excitement about sharing the coaching panel with two of her music idols, Yeng and Gloc-9. She said, “Sobrang honored ako na makatrabaho sila. First time ko na makatrabaho sila in a project.”
For Gloc-9, being part of 'The Voice Kids' is also a meaningful experience especially given his background as a father and former nurse who was once assigned to the pediatrics department. He looks forward to witnessing the young talents' journeys and experiencing their emotional highs and lows.
He shared, “Medyo iyakin ako kaya medyo kinakabahan ako dahil alam ko na mararamdaman ko yung emotions nila.”
Meanwhile, Yeng emphasized that while singing ability is important, having the courage and determination to fight for one's dreams can make all the difference.
She said, “Karamihan po sa mga nanalo is kung sino yung pinakamatibay ang loob. Yung fighting spirit, sobrang tindi, and the way kung paano sila magpakilabot sa mga tao kasi hindi nagsisinungaling ang goosebumps. And I think kaming mga coaches, yun din ang hinahanap namin.”
Taking on the role of journey host is Kapuso It Girl Gabbi Garcia, who admitted that working with children presents a unique challenge. To prepare for the role, she sought guidance from veteran host Boy Abunda.
She shared, “I'm dealing with kids on a personal level so before they get up on stage, ako muna yung dadaanan nila. You know these kids, they will surprise you.”
While only one kiddie talent will ultimately be named the winner, host Dingdong Dantes assured the contestants that every child who takes part in the competition will walk away with a valuable experience.
He said, “Alam naman natin hindi lahat ay mananalo. Kahit nag-fail ka, sisiguraduhin namin na yung experience mo dito ay magiging worth it dahil meron at meron kang matututunan.”
