With her angelic beauty and commendable talent, Jennylyn Mercado can be surely compared to South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo.
Their similarity got noticed when Jennylyn particularly got the role of Maxine in the Philippine adaptation of South Korean drama 'Descendants of the Sun,' where Hye-kyo originally portrayed the character.
We can't think of any actor who can effectively give life to Maxine but Jennylyn because of her squinty almond-shaped eye and milky white skin features that resemble a Korean woman. In addition, her wit is a plus point, too.
In fact, this is not the first time the Kapuso actress played the lead role for a local version of a Korean series because she first starred in GMA's 'My Love From The Star,' opposite Gil Cuerva.
With this, Jennylyn was dubbed as "Queen of Pinoy adaptation of Korean dramas" by some fans and we think the Ultimate Star deserves the moniker.
