Superstar athletes

In the Philippines, it's not surprising to see popular athletes trying their luck in the entertainment scene.

Yes, we have a long list of names of celebrities who were once collegiate stars or members of the Philippine national team. Most of them did not only represented our country in various sporting events, but also brought pride to the country by winning titles and medals.

Take for example "The Magician," Efren Bata Reyes, a world-renowned billiard player , who appeared in several local films including acting alongside the great Fernando Poe Jr.

The rise of volleyball in the Philippines in the recent years catapulted many names into stardom. For example, Gretchen Ho, a former player of the Ateneo Lady Eagles volleyball team has found a new calling as a TV host.

And of course, there's iBilib host and chinito heartthrob Chris Tiu who played in the PBA and represented the country in different basketball competitions.
