Vic Sotto wins court ruling VS Darryl Yap's 'The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma' controversial teaser

On Monday, January 27, celebrity mom Pauleen Luna announced on her Instagram account that the court had reached a ruling regarding her husband, Vic Sotto, and his petition for Writ of Habeas Data against Darryl Yap and the controversial trailer of his new film The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma.
According to the official court ruling, Vic Sotto's Petition for Write of Habeas Data is “partially granted.”
Following this, the court has “ordered” Darryl Yap to “delete, take down, and remove the 26-second teaser video from online platforms, social media, or any other medium.”
This is due to misusing collected data/information “by presenting a conversation between two deceased individuals, which cannot be verified as having actually occurred.”
Pauleen expressed her gratitude and joy over the court ruling and said the “victory” is for their children and family.
She also reminded everyone that “words and actions have great power, and that kindness and integrity should always guide us.”
Pauleen added, “Please, let us all be mindful and responsible about posting/sharing malicious content about people. We urge everyone to act with kindness, integrity, and respect, striving to uplift one another instead of causing harm.”
However, according to the court, Darryl Yap could still proceed with the premiere of his film The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma, initially scheduled on February 5, 2025.
“[Darryl Yap], however, is allowed to proceed with the production and eventual release of the film The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma,” the ruling read.
