Filipino singer and composer Wency Cornejo recently opened up about a frightening near-death experience during his knee surgery.
In a Facebook post, Wency shared a photo after his arthroscopic knee surgery, revealing that he almost died during the procedure.
“Ngayon pa lang nag si-sink in that I could've died the other day when I had my arthroscopic knee surgery,” he said.
The singer shared that he stopped breathing for a while and was saved only by the oxygen administered by his anesthesiologist.
“Medyo surreal ang feeling,” he shared.
He also thanked his doctor, saying, “Thank you, Doc Andro, for keeping me alive. Doctors' faces covered for privacy reasons.”
Fans and followers took to the comments section to wish Wency a speedy recovery.
Wency is known as a brilliant musician from the 1990s. He is the frontman, main composer, and leader of AfterImage, the band that solidified the second golden age of Pinoy rock.
