With the recent wedding of Carlo Aquino to his 'Third World Romance' co-star Charlie Dizon, many are left wondering about the whereabouts of his daughter Mithi courtesy of his former girlfriend Trina Candaza.
On June 11, Ogie Diaz mentioned on his YouTube channel that he inquired with Trina about Mithi's absence at the wedding. According to Trina, Carlo did not ask her if their daughter could attend. Still according to the actor's former partner, had Carlo asked her, she would have allowed Mithi to be present at the event.
Last year, Trina gave a one-on-one interview with Ogie Diaz refuting Carlo's claims about being unable to spend time with their daughter.
"'Yung mga headline na hindi ko raw pinapahiram si Mithi at siya raw ang bumubuhay sa aming dalawa... Nakaka-offend sa part ko 'yun, kasi nagtatrabaho rin ako," said Trina.
She added Carlo can borrow their daughter provided he follows her rules.
"Ang sa akin lang, kapag kukunin niya si Mithi, gusto ko, si Mithi lang sana. Mamili siya kung kanino niya i-spend 'yung time niya. Sa daughter niya, sa new girl niya, or sa friends niya. I think Mithi doesn't deserve na may kahati sa time."
"Respect na lang sa akin, na huwag munang ipakilala si Mithi sa mga panibagong partner. Kasi ayaw ko ring i-instill sa utak ng anak ko, sa values niya, na okay lang magpapalit-palit ng partner. If ever man dumating 'yung panahon na may papakasalan na siya, siguro 'yun kailangan na namin magkita kita."
Carlo and Trina started their relationship in 2019 before calling it quits in December 2022. But even after separating, they've agreed to co-parent their daughter.
Although the reason for their separation was never made public, Trina's first and only interview with Ogie Diaz revealed that things started to change after their daughter was born.
Since then, Trina and Carlo have moved on from their relationship.
Carlo and Charlie confirmed they were in a relationship in 2023 and were married on June 9, 2024.
