Social media is buzzing about Claudine Co, whose family has been linked to construction companies called out by President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. for bagging multi-million peso projects in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to construct roads and flood control projects.
According to several news reports, Claudine is the daughter of former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Christopher Co, co-founder of Hi-Tone Construction and Development Corporation. She is also the niece of Congressman Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co, the chief executive officer of Sunwest Group of Companies.
According to President Marcos, both Hi-Tone Construction and Development Corporation and Sunwest Group of Companies received a significant share of flood control projects in recent years.
Amid the controversy, Claudine deactivated her social media accounts, sparking more discussion and speculations online.
