Some of you might have been wondering why a sorting center we commonly see in the delivery information of a popular shopping app is trending now on X (formerly Twitter) Philippines?
It seems many Pinoy netizens are reacting to the news that dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo was able to pass immigration security and left the country last month.
In a report by 24 Oras, Senator Risa Hontiveros shared in a privileged speech some information she obtained on how Guo managed to flee the country.
Alice Guo arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia a few minutes past lunchtime on July 18 and then she traveled to Singapore based on the information obtained by the lady Senator.
Senator Hontiveros said, “Match-match po ito sa kaniyang Philippine passport na ifa-flash ko ngayon. Maraming Salamat sa NBI sa impormasyong ito, patuloy ang pag-track nila kay Alice Guo.”
“Nagtagpo-tagpo sila ng kaniyang magulang na sina Lin Wen Yi at Guo Jian Zhong. The couple flew in from China on July 28, 2024. Mistulang reunion sila doon, kasama sina Wesley Guo at Cassandra Ong.”
The Philippine Star published an article last July 18 that the Bureau of Immigration has placed both the names Alice Guo and Guo Hua Ping in the Immigration Lookout Bulletin (ILBO).
BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco also released a statement that Guo left the country illegally.
Tansingco noted, “We received intelligence information from our counterparts abroad that Guo illegally left for Malaysia then flew to Singapore.”
“She allegedly flew to Singapore with Shiela Leal Guo and Wesley Leal Guo on July 21... Tansingco clarified that while Guo's name is listed in the Department of Justice-issued immigration lookout bulletin (ILBO), her supposed departure is not recorded in the BI's system and centralized database." the statement reads.
With the news that Alice Guo is not in the country anymore, many Filipinos expressed shock and frustration over her whereabouts.
