Award-winning actors, news anchors, and entertainment pillars--these are just some of the personalities who left us in 2024, but made a long-lasting impact and left us with an amazing legacy through their body of work.
One of the showbiz heavyweights that the local entertainment industry terribly misses is the founder of the film and TV production company Regal Entertainment (formerly Regal Films) Lily Monteverde.
Fondly called by celebrities as “Mother Lily”, she has produced at least 300 movies since she established Regal Films in 1962, which honed the talents of (and launched the careers of) several “superstars” throughout the years.
Another showbiz icon whose death shocked us was the passing of internationally-acclaimed actress Jaclyn Jose in March 2024.
Jaclyn Jose or Mary Jane Guck in real life, has built a reputation as a bankable actress, but, the outpouring of tributes from her fellow actors is a big testament to the kind of person she was - kind, loving, and nurturing.
As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on the incredible talents we lost this year, who will always remain in our hearts and minds.
