Yes My Love offers sweet 'Coffee Date' to fans

Yes My Love takes their fans on a sweet coffee date with the release of their newest single.
The five-member group offers an LSS-inducing song titled “Coffee Date,” which was co-produced by Yeng Constantino.
Yes My Love discussed how they came up with the new song during its launch on February 28 at Oliver's Coffee Bistro in San Juan City.
“Noong time po na sinusulat namin yung song, yun po yung time ng peak ng Lola Amour, sila Maki. Ayun po yung time na yung charts sa Spotify ay puro Pinoy. Parang puro mga tunog Pinoy talaga, very OPM talaga yung tunog. Kaya sabi namin, parang i-try namin yung ganitong songs, especially right now, yung ganito yung mga pinapakinggan,” Brian said.
Josh added, “Parang noong time na yun, we are also assessing the type of music that we want to put out there. Na-realize namin na ito yung tipo ng kanta ng gusto naming pinakikinggan as friends. We wanted to try out something different naman.”
The song was so catchy that it instantly appealed to OPM hitmaker Yeng Constantino.
Jeff recalled, “Nabuo namin yung kanta, nasa studio lang kami sa office. The moment na nabuo namin siya, there was a time na Ms. Yeng [Constantino], dumaan lang sa office. [Sabi namin], 'Yeng, may ipaparinig kaming kanta sa 'yo.” We performed it to her. 'Tapos, yung tunog kasi ng kantang yun, parang nag-recall sa kanya. Parang it motivated her to produce it.
“Even her husband [Victor Asuncion], nagutushan din kasi parang kahit nagda-drive parang lagi niyang naririnig. Sabi niya, 'Sige, gawin na natin 'tong kantang 'to.
“During that time, nag-wait lang kami sa signal ni Ate Yeng na parang, 'Ipaareglo mo na 'to.' 'Tapos, the moment na she delivered the output sa amin, we were so grateful na piyesa agad kasi gustung-gusto na niyang i-push yung song. After that, nag-report kami with her, very hands-on siya sa amin. We had a day to record it and nabuo na namin ang kanta.”
Although released as a single, Josh said that fans can expect more “Coffee Date”-sounding music if they're going to release an EP.
“We love to hear authentic instruments po talaga like guitars, piano. At the same time, if makakagawa kami ng full length album, gusto namin busugin na yung 143 [collective name of their fans]. We wanna do RnB. RZ and I love RnB music. It would be a dream to come up with an RnB track. At the same time, kami rin ng boys we love ballad. I feel like it's the foundation of Yes My Love as a group. Di talaga mawawalan ng ballad, for sure, like, an OPM classic ballad, na hopefully would be a timeless classic. But expect a lot of songs like 'Coffee Date.'
