Yvonne Valencerina in Teen Journeys

Yvonne Lexie Valencerina lands a lead role in an award-winning project while balancing academics, modeling, and pageantry.

At just 13 years old, multi-talented performer Yvonne Lexie Valencerina is steadily making her mark in the local entertainment scene.

A student at Notre Dame of Greater Manila, Yvonne manages to balance her academic life with competitive swimming, fashion modeling, pageantry, dance, and acting.

Her blooming career reaches a major milestone this year as she steps into a lead role for 'Teen Journeys' after standing out among hundreds of aspiring talents during auditions.

'Teen Journeys' is an advocacy-driven project backed by national institutions and government support. The award-winning youth series tackles timely themes affecting today's youth, including the experiences and struggles of LGBTQIA+ youth, social anxiety, and resilience in the digital age.

The cast is led by Billy Domingo, Sky Espinosa, Marianne Bermundo, Yvonne Valencerina, Marcene Bermundo, and Rj Ariar, with veteran performers Moi Bien, Keana Reeves, and Rayan Dulay.

Acclaimed writer-director-producer Direk Crisaldo Pablo shared that Yvonne's casting was a clear choice—not just for her natural screen presence and emotional depth, but also for her work ethic on set. According to the director, the young actress demonstrated remarkable respect and compassion toward the production crew, including staff members who are Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

Yvonne's performance and dedication have already earned her early recognition in the industry. She received a nomination for Most Promising Young Actress at the PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2025.

Furthermore, she is set to be honored as one of the Philippines' Young Faces of Success 2026 on August 1, 2026, at the Camelot Hotel in Quezon City during Best Magazine's 10th-anniversary celebration.

Beyond acting, Yvonne holds big aspirations for the future, citing Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray as her primary inspiration.

"One day, I want to become the next Miss Universe, just like Catriona Gray," Yvonne shared. "I admire her not only because she is beautiful, but because she uses her voice to inspire people, serve communities, and represent the Philippines with pride. I hope to do the same someday—to become a woman of purpose who can make a difference."

Offering a message of encouragement to fellow young dreamers, she added: "You are blessed, and you can always shine and thrive. Believe in yourself, work hard, never stop dreaming, and always put God first."

Following its initial screenings at the July Movie Festival, Teen Journeys is scheduled for upcoming showcases at the Mental Health Fest on August 14-15, 2026, followed by a grand festival culmination on December 3-4, 2026.
