Understand what you are doing

Street styling involves layering of clothes from long sleeves and polos to pants and shorts. Antonio reminded everyone that “the most important thing in street styling is when you are putting clothes together. Make sure you don't look like you don't understand what you are doing.”

Wear one piece that stands out

Layering of clothes need not be branded over branded clothes. Choose one piece of clothing that will stand out and the rest should be simple.

Antonio explained, “When you put on pieces together, you cannot wear expensive stuff altogether. You cannot wear a high-fashion from your cap to your shirt and then your bag and then your pants and then your shoes” because street style is not one way of saying that “[you are] rich.”

He also added, “You just have to have that one piece that's really nice. It could be your pants, your shoes, your shirt, your hat, or your watch and everything else is plain.”

Be confident

Above all, one of the best things to remember when donning streetwear is to be confident and not be the tiis-ganda type.

Antonio said that street style is all about “Confidence and comfort. If you are not comfortable walking around, parang nagtitiis-ganda ka lang.

"It doesn't make sense if you're going to wear snowboard suit like it's winter and you're in the Philippines,” he concludes.
