We've all been accustomed to receiving gifts concealed by those fancy wrapping papers sold in malls or grocery stores. They effortlessly make our gifts look presentable.

However, one downside to using gift wrappers is that we produce a mountain of crumpled papers on Christmas morning.

So, we suggest you skip using wasteful gift wrappers starting this holiday season and instead go for the eco-friendly and budget-friendly upcycled gift wrap alternatives.

Below are our gift wrapper alternative suggestions, all of which you can easily find at home.

1. Old boxes

With the rise of online shopping, most of us have accumulated a number of boxes at home. Hopefully, you haven't thrown them out yet, because they are one of the best alternatives to gift wrappers. You can simply paint over the logos on the boxes or go all out and create your own masterpiece all over the box.

2. Lead sheets/sheet music

If you come from a family of musicians, then there's a great chance you'll find some of these lying around the house. Just make sure no one's using them anymore!
