It is officially the holiday season in the Philippines because Christmas is already less than a hundred days, and it means one thing--food, food, and food!

One of the staples in the Filipino table when celebrating the holiday season is Puto Bumbong, a Filipino purple rice cake steamed in bamboo tubes.

Even though the country is still battling the COVID-19 and the traditional 'Simbang Gabi' is still in limbo due to community quarantine restrictions, these online food businesses stepped up their game and can deliver our favorite Puto Bumbong to our homes.

Ferino's Bibingka is well known for, obviously, bibingka but make no mistake because their puto bumbong is good as well.

For only PhP 100, you can taste their puto bumbong extra special with margarine, muscovado sugar, coconut, and cheese. If you don't want cheese on your puto bumbong, you can buy their puto bumbong special worth Php 85.

If you can't go out of the house because of the restrictions, you can get your puto bumbong cravings satisfied via Grab.

3. Mila's Puto Bumbong

If you live on the south side of Metro Manila, you've probably heard of Mila's Puto Bumbong situated in Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa.

For only PhP 33, you can taste their puto bumbong with grated coconut, white sugar, and sesame seeds. If you prefer muscovado sugar, just add Php 6.

But if you want to add cheese, condensed milk, mango, and other ingredients, just visit their Facebook page or Foodpanda.

4. Macing's Special Bibingka

Meanwhile, if you're from the northern area, you can get your daily dose of Puto Bumbong from Macing's Special Bibingka located in Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

5. Mares at Pares

Mares at Pares in Bangkal, Makati is not your typical one-stop restaurant because their puto bumbong is also worth trying.

For only PhP 75, you can satisfy your puto bumbong craving with cheese and condensed milk as toppings.

Even if most of us are still stuck at home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we don't need to forget how we usually celebrate Christmas season--eating puto bumbong, attending Misa de Gallo, and, most importantly, being with family.
