While there's nothing we can do when it comes to physical height, there is something we can do when it comes to photos. Here are some creative tips on how to look tall in pictures even if you're petite.

Wear the right clothes to create the best proportion

The reason why so many 5-foot tall celebrities and influencers look so much taller in photos is all down to the magic of proportion.

In a nutshell, wear monochromatic colors and well-fitted clothes as it effectively elongates your body and shows off the body frame.

On the other hand, avoid knee-length dresses and horizontal stripes as it does the exact opposite of what you want your clothes to do.

Wear high-heeled shoes

This is pretty obvious. Many petite ladies love to wear heels because they instantly add 2 to 4 inches to your height. Your posture also changes instantly when you put on heels.

The best shoes for petite girls are pumps and stilettos as they extend the legs to the maximum. Plus points if you wear them in the color nude.

Take pictures while walking

If you haven't tried it, you should. Tell your friend to take photos while walking or on-the-go as it makes your legs look longer and leaner.

Another tip is to take a picture as if you're filling the whole frame. You're the subject of the photo, so you should stand out the most.

When you stand beside someone, especially someone taller than you, it gives people the opportunity to compare your height.

If this happens, suggest to your friends to have the photo while sitting down. Your height difference will be less exaggerated and additionally will help the photographer shoot both you and your friends at eye level
