iGMA caught Rainier Castillo to ask him about the changes happening with Tasya Fantasya's format. Here’s what he hds to say.
For two episodes, ‘Tasya Fantasya’ has shown a very different format in their standard story-telling. iGMA caught Rainier Castillo to ask him about the changes—and here’s what he had to say. Text by Jason John S. Lim. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio. stars“Isang araw, bigla na lang nagbago.” No, Rainier Castillo is not sharing a fantasy story. In fact, he’s dishing out about a fantasy show—his show, Tasya Fantasya. After the episode where Tasya found herself in a world without her Donald, the show suddenly underwent a change. Instead of Tasya entering a world where her only constant is the fantastical Pookalakala (played by Mura), she was instead being guided by a mystical book through real life. But why the change? Rainier says that they were not told of the change until it actually happened. Not that he is complaining. “Ngayon mas okay. Kasi ‘di ba, dati si Yasmien [Kurdi] lang ang nag-a-adventure mag-isa? Ngayon, magkasama na kami ni Yasmien lagi sa mga adventures niya.” He adds that the change will surely open up more avenues for the show, including more dramatic scenes for them. The fantastic will not completely disappear from the show though, the actor explains. “Meron pa rin, pero magkasama na kami. Alam ko na rin kung ano ang nangyayari [kay Tasya].” starsAnd aside from the smaller cast and the grounding of the show to one world, Rainier says that there are no other changes that he knows of. “Wala naman. ‘Yun lang ‘yung pinaka nagbago. The same pa rin, may mga fantasy pa rin. Tapos ‘yung guests siyempre, bago-bago [every week].” Also, the show is already tying up its story threads—and Tasya will soon find her happily ever after. But before she does, Rainier has one little request: “Gusto ko makasama si Mark [Herras] sa [show],” the young actor smiles, before explaining that ever since StarStruck, the two of them have never worked together in a scripted show. Tasya Fantasya airs every Sunday afternoon after Pinoy Idol Extra! Don’t miss the last few episodes of the program as they wrap up the mystery of the naughty princess.
