Former Miss World Philippines 2016 Catriona Gray decided to try her luck in the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant this 2018.

Catriona, who almost won the crown two years ago in the Miss World pageant, finished in the Top 5 of the said competition.

The Filipina-Australian beauty announced her intent to compete in Binibining Pilipinas via Instagram.

She posted, “Are you ready for it? Today marks the reveal of an evolution of self that has been quietly happening away from the public's eye for a little while now.

“It was in no way planned, but sometimes the stars align to make things happen. Maraming Salamat sa inyong tiwala at sana samahan niyo ako sa aking bagong paglalakbay. #CatrionaBBP2018 #CatGanern”

This early, several beauty queens have thrown their support behind Catriona Gray.

They are Former Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Miss World 1993 second runner-up Ruffa Gutierrez.
