Find out more about Avol Pangandaman's journey to weight loss in this video.

Avol Pangandaman admitted to once being denied a ride at the amusement park due to his weight.

At his heaviest, he weighed 264 lbs. and had a 55-inch waistline--not ideal for his height of 5'5".

He says that his unhealthy lifestyle began when he was just 16 years old. Avol shares that he ate constantly and without care. At 18 years old, he suffered a mild stroke.

"Nanonood po ako ng TV tapos kumakain po ako that time ng pancit na four [packs]. And then may chips ako, then softdrinks. Sa sobrang init din, dumating sa point na nahihilo 'ko. Tapos parang nanginginig 'yung katawan ko," he recalls.

It took him two months to recover. Once he got clearance from his doctor, he began activities to improve his health and lifestyle.

"Sumali po ako sa isang wellness weight loss challenge. Doon ako na-motivate na mag-lose ng weight," he says.

After six months, Avol now weighs 164 lbs. He does circuit training three times a week. He also eats a high protein diet but avoids processed meat, junk food, and high-cholesterol food.
