As 'Dyesebel' draws to a close, iGMA catches up with the titular star for an update on her character, and a discussion on who Dyesebel should end up with. Text by Jason John S. Lim with interviews and photos by Jillian Q. Gatcheco. At the set of Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel, Marian Rivera is nursing a cut on her upper lip. But this, obviously, does not stop the actress from telling iGMA what’s been going on in her character’s life. “Naku, sa dinami nang pinagdaanan ni Dyesebel, ewan ko ba naman,” Marian exclaims. She confirms that Dyesebel is back in Serenea, which has already been shown on television. But, she adds, she is now training for fight scenes they will be filming under water: “Bonggang-bonggang dagat na naman kami nito, para sa mga fight scenes. Hindi birong mag-fight scenes sa tubig. Lalo na sa mga routine na gusto ni Direk.” Marian is referring to Bb. Joyce Bernal, who is very hands-on as a director. But, she clarifies, they are already getting used to being under water: “Nasanay na rin eh. Ang dami nang training, [at] bilang patapos na ‘to, malamang dapat alam na namin ng bonggang-bongga.” Speaking of the end, the actress has a few choice words for the current turn of the story--Dyesebel giving up on Fredo, in particular. “Masyado na kasi akong pagod sa mga--,” Marian cuts off with a laugh. “Pinersonal?” The actress shares that people have been telling her they felt sorry for Dyesebel, when she tried to kill herself through electrocution. “Marami daw naawa sa akin,” she says. But since then, Dyesebel has found a new purpose--reclaiming Serenea, with Erebus beside her. Does that mean Dyesebel is ending up with Erebus? “Ay! Gusto niyong magwala 'yung sambayanang Pilipino?” she asks with a laugh. Of course, everyone knows Dyesebel will end up with Fredo. But Marian says the question isn’t when or why, but rather how. “Basta, siyempre alam ko naman na--tinanggap ko na bilang si Dyesebel na talagang magkaiba ang aming kapalaran ni Fredo, at si Erebus 'yung nandyan para sa akin. Pero siyempre sa bandang huli, kung sino pa rin 'yung pinipintig at tinitibok ng puso ni Dyesebel, malamang yun pa rin ang mananalo, 'di ba?
