Why does Mara idolize the Primetime Queen?

As a young artist starting out in show business, Mara Alberto has many dreams for herself. One of which is to be an actress as effective as Marian Rivera.

“[Favorite ko siya] dahil sa Marimar. Dun ko siya unang nagustuhan. [Mukhang] matapang pero hindi naman talaga mataray. Mabait siya [at] strong. [You can tell na] kaya niyang ipagtanggol sarili niya,” Mara said.

For the twenty three-year-old talent who was first seen on television through Walang Tulugan, the sexy sitcom A1 Ko Sa’yo is a great opportunity to hone her acting and learn from some of the brightest names in the industry. She counts herself fortunate to be working alongside the likes of Gardo Versoza and Roi Vinzon, among others.

Her biggest idols in the show, however, are the women – Jaclyn Jose and Solenn Heussaff.

“Si Ms. Jaclyn Jose – 'yung pagiging kontrabida niya, parang natural na sa kanya [pero napakabait]. Gusto ko rin matutunan 'yung ganun. [Kay Solenn naman, nakakahanga] 'yung pagiging "it" girl niya. Smart tapos sexy, full package [at] maganda,” she shared.

She admits to still having jitters being around them but her nervousness is overshadowed by the enjoyment she gets from each of their taping days.

“Kinakabahan pero honored. Ang sarap sa feeling [to be here],” she concluded.
