Seasoned actor Emilio Garcia currently plays the role of real estate magnate Roberto Grande in 'Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko'. His character is the father of Luis (Renz Fernandez) and Nick (Aljur Abrenica) in the GMA Telebabad series.

Seasoned actor Emilio Garcia currently plays the role of real estate magnate Roberto Grande in Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko. His character is the father of Luis (Renz Fernandez) and Nick (Aljur Abrenica) in the GMA Telebabad series. 
 
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, the veteran actor candidly shared about his experiences in Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko. He mentioned that he really enjoys his role because he is playing against type.

He explained, “May challenge siya kasi in real life, hindi naman tayo ganun. Mahirap ang sitwasyon ko kasi sometimes, ang mga character daw ay naaayon sa mga na-experience mo sa buhay. Dahil hindi ko na-experience, sana tama ‘yung mga reaction na ibinibigay ko.”

What can he say about his younger co-stars, namely The Royal Couple of Drama Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal, and new Kapuso actor Renz Fernandez?

He shared, “Si Renz first time ko siyang nakatrabaho, pero kasi ang daddy niya, Kuya ko ‘yan sa showbiz. Nagulat ako na ang attitude ni Renz, parang sa daddy niya. Simple, mabait at professional katrabaho.”

“Si Aljur at Kris naman, nakasama ko na sila dati sa The Last Prince. I’m proud to say na itong mga ito na product ng GMA, wala akong nakitang kaartehan. They’re very professional, marespeto sa mga naunang artista at mapagbati. Iba ang pagpapalaki sa kanila ng GMA,” he stated.

Getting along with the three lead stars of the series is a breeze for Emilio because of their good attitude and talent. What advice could he give in order for them to last in the industry?

“Dito sa showbiz, napakaimportante ang pakikisama ng tama. Sa experience ko, you don’t have to act that much. I think you have to react doon sa kaeksena mo para ma-project nang maayos. Acting is reacting,” he advised.

He expounded, “’Yung iba kasi sarili lang ang iniisip when in front of the camera. Natutunan ko na hindi pala dapat. Concerned ka dapat sa buong scene. Concerned ka rin dapat sa kaeksena mo. Nakikita ng viewers ‘pag nanlalamang ka. Relax, have no expectations and just do your best. Magugulat ka na lang sa resulta.”
