Agimat ng Agila's second episode picks up with a tragic loss. Maya (Sanya Lopez) bids goodbye to Gabriel (Ramon "Bong" Revilla) as the wounds she obtained from Gabriel's fight with the unknown masked villain "Garote" were too severe and killing her.

As he goes home, Gabriel finds out that Maya prepared a surprise for him, a marriage proposal. The sight of the surprise breaks Gabriel's heart and shatters it to pieces. The future he had hoped for with her will no longer happen and he once again finds himself alone in life.

In Maya's wake, Gabriel comes face to face with Zeus Limjoco (Gardo Versoza), Maya's boss. Zeus assures Gabriel that his company will exhaust all resources to be able to compensate all employees that have been victims of the attack at the mines. But Gabriel's gut tells him there's a different story and Zeus isn't telling the entire truth.

Gabriel's confrontation with Zeu.s leads to another confrontation with Nanay Berta (Elizabeth Oropesa). Due to Maya's death, Gabriel feels powerless and starts to doubt himself as a protector.

As the night grows, a stranger goes inside Nanay Berta's house. Nanay Berta confronts him and sees that it's a teenage boy named Jumong (Kim de Leon).

Jumong tells Nanay Berta his story and how his father sent him out to seek out the Agila.

Meanwhile, as Gabriel tries to get back to his life, his new partner Art De Mesa (Betong Sumaya) comes to him because they have a new mission from their boss.

The mission, Gabriel learns, is that they must investigate Athena Gems and ZL Gold, companies of Zeus Limjoco due to some irregularities. Though Gabriel is still grieving Maya's death, he assures his boss that he is and will treat the investigation fairly.

As Gabriel and Art prepare to start their investigation, they first visit Nanay Berta. He apologizes to Nanay Berta for how he treated the night before.

Gabriel and Art meet Jumong who recounts the day strangers came to his family's house looking for a certain Dragon Talisman. Not knowing what the talisman is or where it is, the strangers attacked his family, killing his father. His father's last words to him was to seek out the Agila, the only one who can help him.

Gabriel learns from Nanay Berta that looking for the Dragon's Talisman will be his next mission. As Gabriel and Art return to the headquarters, they again spot the masked villain who tries to attack again.
