'Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw' marks the first on-screen collaboration of Agot Isidro and Marian Rivera. Playing the mother of Carmela in the story, what made Agot accept the role?

Agot Isidro has done it all, from singing to hosting and acting. Fresh from her Best Actress win at the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival, the seasoned actress brings something new to the table once more as she breathes life into Amanda in
Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw.
GMANetwork.com caught up with the svelte and statuesque actress during the press conference of the upcoming GMA Telebabad series.
Agot told us more about her role and said, “Ako ‘yung mommy ni Carmela. Tapos noong bata siya, nagkahiwalay kami dahil napagbintangan at nakulong ako. Buong akala niya patay na ako so naghahanapan kami.”
Carmela: Ang Pinakamagandang Babae sa Mundong Ibabaw marks the first on-screen collaboration of Agot Isidro and Marian Rivera. Of her co-star, she said, “Makulit siya, eh. Madali siyang kasama. She makes you feel very comfortable right away, pero ‘pag trabaho serious na serious siya. Masarap siyang kasama. Palaging masaya lang siya.”
What made Agot accept this project?
She answered, “Una, maganda ‘yung project and then of course, malaking factor ‘yung opportunity to work with Yan-Yan, so I really wanted to work with her and see how she is. I have no regrets at all.”
The award-winning actress also mentioned that she avoids having pegs whenever she has a new role because she wants every portrayal to be all-original.
She elaborated, “I always read the script and study the character. Gusto ko medyo iba ‘yung character ko from the previous ones that I’ve done. I put in little nuances and mannerisms. Even the look is different para lang there’s always something new to offer.”
