Comedy queen Aiai Delas Alas was all smiles when asked about her and husband Gerald Sibayan anniversary.

During the press conference of her movie titled Sons of Nanay Sabel, Aiai excitedly told everyone about her fifth anniversary with Gerald.

“Five years na kami ni darl [darling], 'yung relationship yung pagiging mag-jowahan,” she said.

Aiai and Gerald became a couple in 2014. The two tied the knot in December 2017.

The Sunday PinaSaya star recalled the many challenges they faced in their relationship.

“Ang dami naming pagsubok na pinagdaanan and still, God is good, na dumating kami sa point na kinasal kami,” she said.

Just like normal couples, Aiai said she and Gerald also have misunderstandings. Thankfully, the good times always outweigh the bad.

She also revealed that they rarely argue.

When asked if they've ever thought about separating, Aiai answered, “Never. Actually never kami nag-away nang malaki. Tampuhan lang talaga eh.”

She added, “Siguro in five years, siguro mga tatlong bwistan lang.”

Knowing how hard it is being a married celebrity and being under the scrutiny of the public all the time, the joys of having a tranquil married life seem almost too-good-to-be-true for Aiai.

She revealed, “Minsan nga naiisip ko, 'Sa isang relasyon kaya ng mag-asawa, normal kaya 'yung hindi nag-aaway?'

“Kasi kami, hindi kami nag-aaway kasi sanay ako sa upakan, ganun 'yung buhay ko, e, parang masyadong mapayapa.”

One lesson she learned is how happy marriages can actually exist in real life.

“Totoo palang nakaka-survive 'yung relationship nang walang away.”
