Kapuso singer Aicelle Santos posted on her Instagram a video of her performance during the conferment of the 2022 National Artists of the Philippines

On Thursday, June 30, Aicelle Santos shared on her Instagram a video of her brilliant performance at the recent conferment of the new National Artists for 2022, held at Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

She performed a song from the 2018 theater production, Himala: Isang Musikal. She starred in the show as Elsa.

According to Aicelle, she is not fond of posting videos of herself singing but this tribute performance is an exception.

“Always too shy to share videos of myself singing, but this one has to go in my feed para may remembrance. [smiling face with heart emoji]” she captioned her post.

The Kapuso singer played her titular role for just one night but she says this particular performance was a dream come true.

“HIMALA, ISANG MUSIKAL + Philippine Madrigal Singers + Manila Symphony Orchestra = A DREAM [heart emoji]. A dream performance paying tribute to our National Artists Ricky Lee, Marilou Diaz Abaya, Gemino Abad, Fides Cuyugan-Asensio, Salvacion Lim-Higgins, Agnes Locsin, Antonio Mabesa and Nora Aunor,” she wrote.

In her post, Aicelle said that her love and excitement for music and stage has returned. The singer also expressed her gratitude for giving her the chance to perform on stage again.

“Nanumbalik ang kilig, pananabik at pag-ibig sa musika at entablado. [cry emoji] [heart emoji]

Maraming salamat po sa pagkakataon CCP, NCAA (National Commission for Culture and the Arts), Sir Vince De Jesus, Sir Joed Balsamo, Ms. Nora Aunor, and Sir Ricky Lee! [heart emoji]” she added in her caption.
