Seasoned actress and Prima Donnas star Aiko Melendez looked back on her showbiz career as she opened her online acting workshop for students.

The 45-year-old actress started acting when she was just six years old, playing the younger version of Snooky Serna in a movie.

She said in her vlog, "I started acting when I was six years old, I played the role of young Snooky Serna.

"And it wasn't easy becoming an actress because there are so many struggles, so many challenges. But that didn't stop me from aiming what I wanted to be in this industry."

Since 1981, Aiko has come a long way in her showbiz career, winning multiple awards in her 40 years in showbiz.

In 2015, Aiko won the Best Actress plum at the International Film Festival Manhattan and at the London International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinemas for the movie 'Asintado.'

"I told myself, one day, I'm going to have an acting award. And I'm just so blessed that I didn't just have one, I have a lot of recognition not just from here in our country but abroad as well," she said.

"So now's the time that I want to share to everyone the talent that I have in acting. I wanna share it."

The first batch of Aiko's online acting workshop will be on March 19 and 20, while the second batch will be on March 25 and 26.
