AJ Rafael and Alyssa Navarro-Rafael are stepping into their newest roles as parents as they expect their first child.
Filipino-American singer-songwriter AJ Rafael and his wife, Alyssa Navarro-Rafael, happily announced on social media that they are expecting their first child.
On Instagram, the couple sentimentally shared the news by showcasing their singing talent. They made the announcement through a cover performance of Phil Collins' hit song, "You'll Be In My Heart."
The video performance also included clips of AJ and Alyssa's intimate moments, including them finding out about the pregnancy, clips of the baby's sonogram, and Alyssa showing her growing baby bump.
"We've been holding something close. We're growing our family,” AJ wrote in his caption.
In the caption, AJ also revealed the name of their upcoming child: “Baby Rafael coming soon.”
In a separate post, Alyssa also shared the wonderful news alongside photos of AJ taken during the shoot of their announcement video. In her caption, she revealed that “Baby Rafael” is expected to arrive in May 2026.
“We're having a baby!!! Baby Rafael May 2026,” Alyssa wrote in her caption.
Fans and fellow creators were quick to celebrate the happy news. American singer Tori Kelly and makeup artist and content creator Patrick Starrr were among those celebrating the couple's joyful milestone.
“Love you both. So excited!!!!” Tori wrote in the comments.
“Omgggg Congratulations!!!” Patrick commented.
AJ and Alyssa have been together since 2016. AJ proposed to Alyssa during the finale of his Crazy Talented Asians variety show in 2020, and they married each other twice in August 2022 and September 2023.
