Alamat acknowledges the contributions of their fellow P-pop groups who have brought pride to the country.
“We would also like to give acknowledgment to BINI and SB19, G22… ang daming P-pop groups out there na nagbibigay ng recognition sa Philippines talaga,” said Alamat member Jao when asked about P-pops current popularity during the media conference of their upcoming concert titled “Ragasa” held recently.
For their part, Jao added, “There's that pressure na kailangan talaga naming galingan. Kasi kami, as Alamat, and for sure all the P-pop groups out there, gusto nilang maipakita kung ano yung talento ng Pinoy. So, laban.”
Alas, on the other hand, emphasized that while some groups have become more popular than others, the P-pop community is very united in promoting original Pinoy music.
He said, “Tanggalin natin sa mindset natin yung competition talaga. Kasi, ang hangad lang namin talaga dito is magtulungan talaga as P-pop group.”
To add, Jao reminded fans of respective P-pop groups to avoid conflict.
He said, “To be honest, concern kami sa kanila kasi… They don't need to fight, actually, kasi kami mismo dito sa P-pop community ay magkakaibigan. We can all just love each other. Mwah!”

Like other groups, Alamat members Alas, Jao, Mo, Taneo, Tomas, and R-ji also enjoy their success and support from their fans, collectively known as Magiliws.
Kaya palagi kaming lumalaban.”
Alas seconded, “Hungry po kami pero, at the same time, marunong kaming makuntento. Kumbaga, hindi naman namin talaga hinihingi 'yan, e, kusa na lang binibigay ni Lord yung mga kailangan natin sa buhay.”
R-ji candidly added, using the title of their concert, “Parang ragasa lang din, maraming feelings and experiences na umaagos. Basta, pasalamat na lang talaga.”
Meanwhile, Mo assured that he and his co-members promised that popularity won't affect their attitude.
He said, “Nagpapasalamat kami sa itaas dahil may ganito, maraming blessings. Lagi rin naming nire-remind ang sarili namin na mata sa langit, paa sa lupa. Parang ang hirap kasi siyang umakyat dito [turo sa ulo]. Hangga't maaari talaga, hindi namin binabago kung ano kami. Basta magkakapatid kami, alam namin ang ginagawa namin at wala kaming tinatapakan na tao. Thank you kay Lord at thank you sa amin. Kasi, hindi naman namin ito magagawa kung hindi namin ginalawan. Thank youy sa management at sa mga Magiliw.”
The six-member group is currently training hard in preparation for their “Ragasa” concert at the New Frontier Theater on December 6.
Jao happily said, “Yun ang mas exciting. Siyempre, bago mag-next concert, gusto namin ang next ay big. I think ipu-push pa namin ang mga sarili namin to be bigger. Hindi lang dito sa industry, but as people din.”
He added, “It's been a year following our 'Dagundong' concert. This time, it's our second solo concert na 'Ragasa.' From the name itself, parang it's a rush to move forward. At this point of our careers, marami na rin kaming pinagdaanan. So this time, gusto naming ipakita yung pag-move namin forward, what we can offer this time, and our growth as Alamat.”
Alas said their preparation for the second concert is different, “Ready naman kasi since napagdaanan na namin yung first concert namin. Alam na namin yung pagod. So, sa second concert namin, siguro hindi na namin maiisip yung pressure, yung pagod, kasi napagdaanan na namin. So, more on happy and excitement na lang, enjoy-enjoy, ganun.”
Mo, likewise, said, “Saka yung journey, yung process, yun ang pinaka-enjoy talaga. Kasi, yun nga nag-concert kami ng Dagundong last year, sobrang napagdaanan namin yung pagod, yung dugo't pawis. Pero feeling ko naman handa kami. May pressure, pero good pressure yun para mas maihanda pa namin ang mga sarili namin to the top.”
