Ayon sa Facebook post ni Congressman Salceda, ang nanay ni Catriona ay mula Oas, Albay. Isa namang Australian ang kaniyang ama.
“GMA7 is more sensitive to local sentiments, they acknowledge that Miss World Philippines Catriona registered herself as Albayana and that her mother is from Oas, Albay. Since 4 years ago, Catriona already expressed her desire to represent Albay. Aces and Queens who manage her quest in beauty pageants knows that.”
Dagdag pa ni Mr. Salceda na hindi daw binabanggit na taga Albay si Catriona sa mga reports ng Kapamilya Network.
