Get a glimpse of the first screen test of Kapuso stars Alden Richards and Kylie Padilla for GMA's upcoming bayani serye titled 'Ilustrado.'

Kapuso stars, Alden Richards and Kylie Padilla have a new look. This time around, Alden dons a Barong Tagalog and Kylie, a Filipiniana. This is part of a screen test for the newest historical drama series, Ilustrado, where they will be playing Dr. Jose Rizal and Leonor Rivera, respectively.
 
 
Alden told Cata Tibayan of 24 Oras, “[This is the] first bayani serye sa GMA prime this coming October, so this is a story of course about Jose Rizal and his love for the country, his love for his family.”
 
Ilustrado will be handled by the same team that worked on the historical series, Katipunan. The series will revolve around Rizal’s sacrifices in the name of freedom and sovereignty for the Philippines.
 
Kylie considers this project as a blessing. She also shared that her father, Robin Padilla, is very proud of her.
 
“Noong bata kami, talagang si Papa, bini-build up niya si Jose Rizal sa amin. Talagang sabi niya na ito ang bayani natin, so pinuntahan namin ‘yung mga lugar ni Jose Rizal, kung saan siya nakatira noon. Tapos sa Germany din, nakapunta kami sa school kung saan siya nag-aral,” said Kylie.
 
Right now, Kylie was advised by her dad to just focus on her career rather than entertaining suitors. Personally, Kylie has also decided to remain single. She also clarified that there is no truth to the rumors that she is dating actor Enzo Pineda.
 
Kylie and Alden will also be working with Kapuso actresses, Solenn Heussaff and Jaclyn Jose in Ilustrado.
