Nadine Lustre and Alden Richards

Alden Richards and Nadine Lustre have officially been cast as the leads of Viu's 'Love, Siargao'.

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, streaming platform Viu officially announced its upcoming original romance-drama series, 'Love, Siargao'.

The project unites Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards and Multimedia Princess Nadine Lustre for the first time on screen. Joining the powerhouse cast is rising K-drama star Choi Bo-min, best known as a former member of the K-pop group Golden Child.

Coming in the second quarter of 2026, this series brings the beauty of Siargao Island to the screen, with the country's surfing capital serving as its filming location.

The 26-episode series centers on the intriguing 'Siargao Curse,' an island legend suggesting that those who step onto its shores will either find themselves staying forever or falling hopelessly in love.

In the series, Kapuso actor Alden Richards stars as 'Jao,' a man whose principles are challenged by the island's mystic pull. Meanwhile, Viva actress Nadine Lustre plays 'Kara,' a woman with a contrasting perspective on the island's lore.

As their opposing views collide, they find themselves swept into a love story marked by deep passion and difficult challenges that put their fate to the ultimate test.

Through its partnership with Viva Entertainment, Viu guarantees its viewers a breathtaking showcase of Siargao's famous beaches and a unique island experience in this new original series.

Recently, Alden has proven his versatility as an actor, filmmaker, and producer through a string of consecutive projects spanning 2025 and 2026.

In 2025, he made his directorial debut with the film 'Out of Order', in which he also starred alongside Heaven Peralejo and Nonie Buencamino. That same year, he was also set to co-produce and take on a villainous role in the international film 'Big Tiger.'

On the other hand, Nadine recently starred in the 51st Metro Manila Film Festival entry 'Call Me Mother,' her performance earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
