Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards could not hide his excitement over the fact that his last series, The World Between Us, became the first Filipino series on Amazon Freevee.

During his interview with GMA media, Alden said that the show's historic achievement was the fruit of their labor, months after the show ended.

He said, "Ngayon nagha-harvest ng fruit 'yung The World Between Us, itong mga huli, e."

"And ang nakakatuwa, based from what I've heard, 'yung team nung Amazon Freevee 'yung lumapit sa GMA to get the title kasi they're very active now getting contents ng iba-ibang culture like Pinoy, Asians, ganyan.

"Ang isa pang nakakatuwa is this is the first Filipino title to be shown sa Amazon Freevee, so sobrang honor din. The whole team is so proud to be recognized ng isang international platform."

Although Alden starred in the series as the main character Louie Asuncion, he credited the story as the reason why Amazon Freevee became interested in acquiring The World Between Us.

"Kahit hindi ako si Louie, kahit ibang Louie pa 'yan, kung papanoorin ko siya, deserve nung show, sobra."

The World Between Us is now available on Amazon Freevee in the US alongside other Hollywood films such as Deadpool, Logan, Shrek, Gone Girl, Knives Out, The Revenant, and Black Swan.

Amazon Freevee, formerly IMDb TV, is a streaming video service with thousands of premium movies and TV shows, including Originals and FAST channels, available anytime, for free.

Freevee is available as an app on Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and as a free Channel within Prime Video, across hundreds of devices.
