“Masaya po kami ni Maine ‘pag magkasama [kami] and I’m very happy ‘pag kasama ko siya, on and off cam,” he said.
Unlike months ago when he would just interact with his leading lady via split screens on Eat Bulaga, Alden is grateful to now have face time with her, both for work and outside it.
“Yun po yung maganda ngayon, kasi nabibigyan kami ng chance to bond off cam, without cameras, without anyone following us,” he added.
The actor-singer-host also stressed how his efforts for Maine aren’t scripted.
“Kung anuman po 'yung ginagawa ko for Maine, I’m happy and I’m doing that out of free will. Hindi po pilit. Walang nag-plant o nagsabi,” he clarified.
Asked if they’re officially together, he said that they’re still getting to know each other better.
“Ang hirap po kasi magpadalos-dalos ng desisyon eh, to get into a commitment… We’re still having fun, still getting to know each other. [After all], it’s been eight months pa lang [since our love team started],” he shared.
Though he refuses to subscribe to labels at this point, he pointed out how important the Yaya Dub actress is to him.
“Siya po 'yung isa sa pinaka-special na babae sa buhay ko. She’s very special, and I’m very happy whenever I’m with her,” he concluded.
