Asia's Multimedia star Alden Richards turns emotional as he shares his heartbreaks and love realizations.

During his appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice, the Kapuso star opened up about his past relationships and the breakups he experienced over the years.

The love talk began with Alden revealing that he had been in two official relationships during his high school days.

However, most of his relationships in showbiz were “almost but not quite,” as Vice described them.

"Sa palagay mo, bakit hindi natutuloy? Vice asked.

"Hindi ko rin alam, e. Siguro ako ba [ang] problema?" Alden candidly replied.

The Code Grey actor admitted that in his past relationships, either he or his partner eventually walked away from the situationship. In his most recent one, however, he said both of them did.

Yet, Alden added that it was more the other person who eventually gave up.

"Ang hirap talaga kasi I feel like it's not my piece to say. Kasi ako yung lalaki sa sitwasyon," Alden said when Vice asked why.

When the host asked for his side of the story, Alden shared a reflection he learned from those experiences.

"Ang one thing na natutunan ko sa whatever happened with that relationship is never say never. 'Wag mong bigyan ng ultimatum yung sarili mo dahil sobrang saya mo sa sitwasyon. Kinain ko yung mga sinabi ko noon," he shared.

As the conversation continued, Alden admitted that he had been searching for love for the past 15 years. At times, he also felt pressured to find a partner.

"Ganoon tayo mga Pinoy, we live in a culture of deadlines...But I don't think that's how I want to live my life right now," he reflected.

"So after noong last, sabi ko noon 'di ko na hahanapin. Mabubuhay ako ngayon sa kung ano yung tingin na bigay ng Diyos para sa akin. May it be a circumstance, a person. Hindi ko sinasabing hindi ako mai-in love [o] hindi ko hinihintay yung taong darating para sa akin. Kasi for the longest time hinahanap ko yung taong para sa akin. So baka for a change, hintayin ko naman siyang dumating," he added.

Vice also echoed Alden's sentiment, expressing hope that he would meet the right person who would be willing to fight for their love at the right time.

"For the longest time na naghahanap ako ng pagmamahal from another person, na-realize ko, pagmamahal pala sa sarili yung kulang," Alden shared, becoming emotional.

The studio slowly filled with heartfelt emotions as Alden and Vice shared a touching moment, with the comedian comforting the Kapuso star.

"Because your heart is very generous. You have been giving so much to the world," Vice praised.

"Sobrang, all my life I've been doing a lot of things for other people. But for myself?" Alden said between his sobs.

In a previous interview, Alden also mentioned he has mastered the art of moving on. According to the actor, he felt a connection to his character, Jao, in the romantic comedy series Love, Siargao because of that topic.

"Si Alden kasi noong pumasok si Jao sa buhay niya, doon lang kasi yung part ni Jao na sabi ko, parang baby naman 'to si Jao when it comes to closure," he said.

"Parang kita niya na lahat ng signs that Ali is giving, pero persistent pa rin siya. I mean, there's nothing wrong about that, but you have to be practical and realistic when it comes to those kinds of situations, diba."

For Alden, moving on has something to do with “perspective” and “maturity.”

Meanwhile, the Kapuso actor is set to officially return to Philippine television in the GMA medical drama series Code Grey.
