Alden Richards recently shared his mindset on acceptance, letting go, and moving forward with a positive outlook.

In an interview with Viu Philippines, the Kapuso actor revealed that he can relate to his character Jao in the romantic comedy series Love, Siargao, particularly when it comes to moving on.

"Actually, hindi ko pa pino-portay si Jao. I have already mastered the art of moving on," he admitted.

For Alden, moving on has something to do with “perspective” and “maturity.”

However, despite being able to relate to his character, he shared that Jao also has some differences from Alden in real life.

"Si Alden kasi noong pumasok si Jao sa buhay niya, doon lang kasi 'yung part ni Jao na sabi ko, parang baby naman 'to si Jao when it comes to closure," he said.

Alden continued, "Parang kita niya na lahat ng signs that Ali is giving, pero persistent pa rin siya. I mean, there's nothing wrong about that, but you have to be practical and realistic when it comes to those kinds of situations, diba."

"Kapag ayaw na, wag na ipilit," he emphasized.

Aside from his character, Alden also shared that Love, Siargao has taught him a lot of things.

"This project has taught me a lot. Totally, kasi noong, I mean, every projects that I do, meron naman talaga akong natututunan and learnings along the way. But sometimes, there's special ones, and Love, Siargao is one," he said.
