Alden Richards is making sure to celebrate his 10th year in showbiz not just as his career milestone but as a collective success he shares with his family, friends, and fans through the staging of the first-ever virtual reality concert in the Philippines, Alden's Reality.

During his media conference, Alden revealed that he almost lost hope after the COVID-19 pandemic forced him to reconsider his plans for his 10th anniversary.

But with the help of GMA Network and Direk Paolo Valenciano, the Asia's Multimedia Star is thankful that his concert will push-through by utilizing the cutting-edge technology of virtual reality, and celebrate with his supporters under the new normal.

He shared about the conceptualization of Alden's Reality, “It's basically everything that happened in the 10 years that I've been here and also parang ito 'yung pinakaimportanteng event sa akin na parating pa lang as of the moment, this 10th anniversary in the business.

“Sabi ko parang hindi naman yata pwedeng palagpasin natin 'yung 10th anniversary nang wala tayong naibibigay in return to the people who have supported us, who gave me love and support unconditionally.

"And you know, kung hindi dahil sa kanila, I'm not gonna be here. I'm not gonna be celebrating this momentous event in my career.

“Without Direk Pao's help, and the team behind Direk Pao, and everyone in GMA, this won't be possible.

"So this is really a big deal for me and I'm just so happy that I was able to do it, na I'm gonna be able to show it to a lot of people who love and support me all throughout those years.”

According to Alden, Alden's Reality is also based on his book In My Own Words that they reinterpreted more visually for a grand concert experience.

He said, “Marami silang makikitang throwbacks doon and of course 'yung kung ano ba talaga 'yung journey ng 10 years ni Alden Richards sa industry. So marami tayo mare-reminisce doon 'pag napanood natin.”

He also added, “Actually we have done something magical out of this concept, and I just want to share it with my supporters as well.

"You know, this is really for them, to look back on the 10 years na nasaan na ba tayo, ano mga pinagdaanan natin.

"Kasi kahit ako, when I watch it, noong binasa ko 'yung whole treatment about the concert, nagulat ako na 'yun na rin pala 'yung mga nangyari. Eto parang summary lang, parang balik-tanaw.”

Alden's Reality is slated as a global event for worldwide viewing on December 8, 2020.
