Pambansang Bae Alden Richards truly has a big heart.

Last Friday (February 9), the charming actor graced the Kapuso Bloodletting Day of GMA to donate 450 ml of his blood to Philippine Red Cross.

The Kapuso star said it is an achievement to donate blood for the first time. He shared his experience with GMANetwork.com, “Sarap! Hindi naman pala siya ganun kahirap kasi ‘yung parang [sabi ng] iba, mahilo ka, [and] you feel weak. It’s different when you think of it in a good way, mas iba ‘yung feeling.”

It took around 15 minutes to gather his blood in a bag, and Alden assured it didn’t hurt a bit. “Walang sakit! Napakabilis. Mukha lang siyang masakit [at] mukha lang siyang mahirap pero trust me, wala akong naramdaman,” he said.

According to Alden, it’s his way of sharing part of himself to others, “To save lives, [and] to be of service doon sa mga nangangailangan. Trust me, mga Kapuso, very life fulfilling po ‘yung donation.”
