In an exclusive interview with the program 24 Oras, Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards shared that he will be taking on a new role, portraying a character in the medical field.

Alden announced that he will play the role of a doctor in his upcoming series titled Code Gray.

The actor also shared that preparations and pre-production for the series are underway, and that they will soon hold a story conference for the project.

“Pre-production is being done right now, so magkakaroon siguro kami ng storycon very soon,” he said.

He added that he will begin working on the project as intense filming is set to start in the middle of the year.

“And most probably, [in the] middle of the year, start na ng grind,” Alden shared.

The Kapuso actor also teased several surprises and plot twists in store for the Kapuso network competition he hosts, Stars on the Floor.

“Abangan niyo, maraming plot twists na mangyayari dito sa Stars on the Floor dahil sobrang gagaling lahat ng mga duos na napapanood n'yo every Sunday,” he revealed.

Alden also took the time to express his appreciation for his involvement in the recent triathlon relay event in Davao City.

The Kapuso star didn't sugarcoat the difficulty of the race, opening up about the moment he almost reached his limit.

“During the last 10 kilometers, gusto ko nang mag-give up eh, kasi bumibigay na 'yung katawan ko, bumibigay na rin 'yung legs dahil sa pagod at init,” Alden said.

He continued, “But sabi ko, either one, 'di ko siya tatapusin tapos madi-disappoint ko 'yung mga taong naniwala sa 'kin, and most especially, I would disappoint myself.”

Choosing to push through the exhaustion, the actor explained that his desire to honor his hard work and meet the expectations of his supporters ultimately fueled his determination to reach the finish line.

“Or, I would finish it, ibibigay ko lahat, I will empty the tank, and make everyone proud and happy of all the efforts I've done to be able to finish the race. So syempre, dun tayo sa positive, kaya tinapos natin nang ganun,” he said.

In addition to his medical drama, Alden is set to star alongside Nadine Lustre in the upcoming series Love, Siargao. He is also slated to make a mark internationally by playing the antagonist in the Hollywood movie Big Tiger.
