The Philippine sporting community was deeply saddened by the news that legendary athlete Carlos "Caloy" Loyzaga passed away last Wednesday (January 27).
He was 85.

Mr. Loyzaga is the father of actresses Bing and Teresa Loyzaga, and former professional basketball players Chito and Joey.
Bing who served as a caregiver to Caloy, after the latter suffered a major stroke in Australia in 2011, posted this heartfelt message on Instagram for her father.
Bing expressed her sadness that Caloy had to leave them soon and she wants him to know that they love him so much.
The actress said, "Given the chance, I'll do it all over again. The last four years spent with you were worth every second. No amount of words can ever express how much I LOVE YOU! Missing you terribly Dad. Rest in the loving arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. ??????????????"
Meanwhile, AlDub superstar Alden Richards went to pay his last respect to the basketball legend.
