Kapuso heartthrob Alden Richards wants to go to any of the venues where Pope Francis would be visiting and celebrating masses.

“I really want to. Meron akong mga kasama sa church [na pupunta]… I really want to meet him. [Iniimagine ko] being able na mahawakan ka niya sa ulo, baka maiyak ako nun,” he said.

Although he got a tip from a friend to not join the large crowds because Alden’s security and safety could be sacrificed, he’s still considering seeing the pope.

“Pinipigilan ako pumunta [but I still want to] kasi Pope Francis could be visiting us only once in a lifetime. The last time [a pope] went here was when Pope John Paul II visited us nung 1995. Three years old pa lang ako nun [kaya] hopefully [makapunta ko dito]. We’ll see,” he shared.

In any case, Alden is excited about Pope Francis being in the Philippines. For him, the country can use the prayers and blessings of the leader of the Church.

“[I hope he] prays for the Philippines, for the people [and] for the leaders, for them to think right, for the people to be united,” Alden expressed.
