Alethea Ambrosio described herself as 'an unknown face' during the Miss Supranational pageant.
It's been a year since Status by Sparkle talent Alethea Ambrosio was crowned Miss Supranational Asia & Oceania, and the beauty queen Is reminiscing about her reign on social media.
In one of the more recent posts on her official Instagram account, Alethea posted an Instagram of her at a photoshoot of her wearing her Miss Supranational Asia & Oceania sash and crown. In the caption to the post, Alethea recalled her experience at the Miss Supranational pageant as being “an unknown face in a sea of extraordinary women” with “no connections, no network, no roadmap”. She also wrote that her eventual win as Miss Supranational Asia & Oceania came from her “raw determination” and “unshakeable belief”.
Alethea's nostalgic look back on her reign comes after she bid goodbye to her title last month, posting multiple photos of her wearing the Miss Supranational Asia & Oceania crown. In the caption to the post, Alethea wrote that she is “full of gratitude” and that her vision is “clearer than ever.”
Alethea also shared that her eyes were opened to the “beautiful tapestry” of different cultures around the world thanks to her “sisters around the globe” and that she's also learned that “beauty pageants aren't merely competition” but are about “friendships that transcend borders.”
She also discussed the impact of her crown, from gaining a deeper understanding of the issues facing women and children to becoming a part of the Sparkle family. She then called on “every dreamer” to make their own mark by being “unapologetically, beautifully YOU.”
In the past year when she was Miss Supranational Asia & oceania, Alethea took part in her first 10-kilometer run by joining the Lights, Camera, Run: Takbo Para Sa Pelikulang Pilipino fun run organized by Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards.
She was also awarded by the Dominican College San Juan during its alumni homecoming. Alethea was the youngest recipient of the award.
Since stepping down from her post, Alethea has been succeeded as Miss Supranational Philippines by Tarah Valencia, who placed third runner-up in the Miss Supranational pageant.
The coronation night for the Miss Supranational pageant was held on June 27 (Poland Time).
