Alex Diaz is doing a movie with Avatar actor Sam Worthington and he couldn't contain his excitement.

Alex, or Alexander Diaz McDermott in real life, left the country and took a break from showbiz in October 2019 (. His decision came after a controversy that led to his fitness coach outing his true sexuality on social media.

He returned in December and it seems his showbiz comeback is off to a good start as he is set to star in a film with his idol and Hollywood star, Sam.

Alex posted a photo of him possibly holding the movie script and wrote, “Excited as our film at @mamholdingsinc was finally announced at the Berlin Film Festival the other day.”

According to reports, the Filipino actor will portray a young man wrongly accused of drug-trafficking. Meanwhile, Sam will play John Craig, a retired negotiator who will help his character escape and return to his family in Australia.

Their upcoming action-thriller movie titled Counterplay will be produced by MAM Media.
