Former 'Encantadia' star Alfred Vargas will continue to serve as councilor of the 5th district of Quezon City after winning a seat last May.
After completing three terms as congressman of Quezon City, former Encantadia star Alfred Vargas is getting ready to begin a new chapter in his career as a public servant.
But before he finishes his term as a member of Congress, Alfred receives a heartwarming message from his good friend and seatmate Ruffy Biazon.
In his Instagram post, Ruffy described the actor-turned-politician as a “dedicated” public official.
Representative Biazon posted, “My seatmate in the session hall. Rep. Alfred Vargas completed 3 terms in the House of Representatives and will continue serving his constituency as a member of the Quezon City Council. A really nice guy and a dedicated public servant.
“We're both leaving the House of Representatives with the closing of the 18th Congress but the friendship will stay.”
Alfred replied saying, “Thank you to one of my closest and wisest friends in Congress and hardworking public servants, Cong/Mayor Ruffy! Ang bilis ng panahon graduate na agad. Hehe
“Congrats, Mayor! As always, I know you'll do well! See you!”

Vargas will be serving as councilor of the 5th district of Quezon City, while his brother, PM Vargas won a seat as congressman of the 5th district as well last May elections.
