Actor-turned-politician Alfred Vargas was in a somber mood yesterday, August 22, as he paid tribute to his late mother, Atty. Susana “Ching” Vargas on her 75th birthday.
Atty Vargas succumbed to cancer in 2014.
Alfred, who won as Quezon City councilor last May, shared a short video clip remembering his loving mother.
He said, “You would have been 75 today, Mom.”
The former Encantadia star continued, “Eight years have passed and not a day goes by that I don't miss you. You are forever part of me. I love you, Mom.”
“Happy birthday there in heaven. Please continue praying for us and guiding us through your love and presence. One day, we'll meet again. For now, we'll continue fighting for your legacy and love,” he added.
Meanwhile, Alfred's brother, PM, is the newest representative of the 5th district of Quezon City.
