Sparkle stars and former Luv Is: Caught in his Arms stars Allen Ansay and Sofia Pablo recently went on a vacation to Hong Kong and even visited Hong Kong Disneyland. To make their trip memorable and special, Allen decided to ask Sofia to be his date for the GMA Gala.

In a video Allen posted on their official YouTube channel, he laid out his plan, expressing how excited he is to visit Disneyland not only because it will be his first time, but also because he planned to propose to Sofia to be his date for the upcoming Gala night.

“Balak ko sana, mamayang gabi, pag-fireworks sa Disneyland, gusto ko sa kanya mag-propose gamit ito,” he said in the video, holding up a tablet with the words “Will you be my date in the GMA Gala?”

He then expressed how nervous he is, saying that they can only do one take, and because he's embarrassed that a lot of people will be watching them.

“Pag nagpalpak 'to, hindi ko na puwede ulitin kasi maraming makakakita. Kinakabahan ako pero alam kong magagawa ko 'to nang maayos,” he said, adding that his mom will be there to assist him.

He then left a short message to Sofia, “Aki, sana marinig ko mamaya ang matamis mong oo.”

After a full day of enjoying the sights, the rides, and the food at the theme park, Disneyland started its much-awaited fireworks display.

Allen then brought out his tablet with the proposal already on the screen and tapped Sofia on the shoulder for her to see the message.

After she read the message, a resounding “Yes” and a thumbs up, coupled with the fireworks as their background sealed their date.

“Yes mga ka-Team Jolly, successful na naman tayo at napasagot ko siya!” Allen said near the end of the video.

When asked if she was surprised by the proposal, Sofia answered, “Siyempre!”
