Alyssa Valdez goes public with businessman Ian Umali!
Volleyball star Alyssa Valdez surprises fans after revealing that she's now officially in a relationship.
On Instagram, the Pinay athlete shared a Reel from her rooftop birthday celebration in Quezon City.
Fans were caught by surprise when Alyssa casually revealed that they're also celebrating the birthday of her boyfriend, Ian.
The video then featured friends and family sharing their birthday manifestations for the athlete, with many joking about her love life. Samantha Bernardo quipped, “proposal,” while Angelica Panganiban said, “Ang ima-manifest ko, 'yung kaya mong suotin araw-araw, sa daliri.”
Later in the video, businessman Ian Umali made an appearance.
“We just had meetings about it this year, 'di ba? So, we're planning something big, something to organize and be intentional about what she wants to do in the future," Ian said before giving Alyssa a sweet kiss on the cheek.
"Birthday wishes from friends and family," Alyssa wrote in the captions.
Fans and celebrities alike quickly flooded the comments section with messages, including Mimiyuuuh, Tim Yap, Hidilyn Diaz, and Jaz Reyes.
Alyssa, popularly known as The Phenom, rose to fame as a star player for Ateneo de Manila University and currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers.
Before confirming their relationship, Ian had already been spotted at several of Alyssa's volleyball matches, cheering her on from the stands.
