GMA Network's ground-breaking epic series, AMAYA, continues to win the hearts of television audiences.
<i>GMA Network's ground-breaking epic series, AMAYA, continues to win the hearts of television audiences, which has translated to the program's phenomenal ratings success on the weeknight primetime race.  </i></p><p>

According to full September households data (September 25 to 30 based on overnight ratings) from the more widely recognized ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, Amaya dominated its timeslot in Total Urban Luzon and Mega Manila.</p><p>

In viewer-rich Mega Manila, which makes up 58 percent of total television households nationwide, Amaya scored an average household share of 35.9 percent versus its ABS-CBN counterpart's 27.3 percent. It likewise toppled its competition in Urban Luzon with household share points of 35.4 versus ABS-CBN's 27.9.</p><p>

The historical fiction epicserye definitely got everyone hooked on GMA Telebabad with more revelations, conflicts and plot twists to be revealed as Amaya enters its second book with new characters to spice up the exploits of the warrior-princess heroine.</p><p>

Joining the powerhouse cast are Kapuso hunk actor Aljur Abrenica as Dayaw, a Manobo warrior who becomes Amaya's new ally and protector; Yasmien Kurdi as Apila, a female priestess who secretly admires Dayaw; and Ronnie Lazaro as Posaka, chief warrior and Dayaw's courageous father.</p><p>

Witness how these new foes and friends alter the life of Amaya as her quest to save her people and bring justice to her land continues in the high-rating epic serye. Find out how Amaya will transform into a fearless warrior and fulfil the prophecy to become the most powerful woman of her time.</p><p>

Viewers of Amaya will have even more reason to stay glued on their favorite primetime soap as GMA Network announces the extension of the pioneering epic series. The 11-week extension came after the successive victory of Amaya over its rival program since it premiered last May 31.</p><p>

The entire cast and the production team are very ecstatic and grateful over the news and promise to work harder to surpass all the expectations of their loyal fans and supporters. Everyone gives a highly commendable performance which impresses and draws viewers in with each subsequent episode.</p><p>

Under the helm of Director Mac Alejandre, Amaya is topbilled by Primetime Queen Marian Rivera together with Sid Lucero, Gina Alajar, Lani Mercado, Glaiza de Castro, Ryan Eigenmann, Rochelle Pangilinan, Irma Adlawan, Ana Capri, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Buboy Villar, Sheena Halili, Roxanne Barcelo, Mon Confiado, AJ Dee, Robert Sy, Mia Pangyarihan, Anna Feleo, Angie Ferro, Dion Ignacio, Pancho Magno, Leopoldo "Wendell" Salgado and Edgar "Egay" Manuel.</p><p>

Amaya, which is created by the GMA Entertainment TV group, is headed by Lilybeth G. Rasonable, VP for Drama; Ma. Regina Magno, AVP for Drama; Cheryl Ching-Sy, Senior Program Manager; Camille Montano, executive producer; and the creative team composed of Jun Lana, Creative Director; Suzette Doctolero, Creator and Headwriter; and Jake Tordesillas, Creative Head.</p><p>
