American rapper and hiphop artist Slim Thug announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
On Instagram, he talks about how he might have gotten the virus no matter how careful he has been.
"So check this out. No games being played, alright. The other day, I got tested for the coronavirus. Yesterday, it came back positive. As careful as I've been--self-quarantining and staying home, I might have went and got something to eat or something like that. Simple stuff like that, nothing crazy. Stayed in my truck, had masks, gloves, everything on and my tests came back positive," he says.
He also asked people to take health guidelines regarding COVID-19 seriously.
"Y'all gotta take this stuff serious. Sit home, self-quarantine, do not come outside for however long they're saying. If you have symptoms, you need to go get checked out," he says.
The rapper also assured his followers about the state of his health.
"I'm good. I feel good, I don't got no problems right now. The other day I had a slight fever and a cough, but I feel better now. I don't have a fever or nothing like that, so I feel like I'm good, but y'all better take this serious. It's real out here," he continues.
He also shared a video of him getting a nasal swab for his COVID-19 test.
Right now, he went on self-quarantine in his home and continues to remind people about social distancing.
He also shared that he was trying some home remedies to clear up his lungs.
