“Mahal ko po 'yung trabaho ko eh. Mahal ko 'yung ginagawa ko at syempre lahat ng nakapalibot dito, minamahal ko rin” - Dingdong Dantes

Even with his many years in the industry, Dingdong Dantes hasn’t encountered much difficulty in working with other people. Aside from his natural charm, it is because of the passion he has for his job and the industry.

“Mahal ko po 'yung trabaho ko eh. Mahal ko 'yung ginagawa ko at syempre lahat ng nakapalibot dito, minamahal ko rin,” he said.

In his new soap that will air on Monday, June 2, he gets to work with veterans Coney Reyes, who plays his mom, and Maricel Soriano, who plays one of his wives.

The Primetime King noted how working with Coney Reyes allows him to do great work alongside someone more experienced than he is.

“Siya po ang gaganap na aking mommy sa Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real… ang [maganda] po kasi sa trabaho natin, hindi lang naman pupuwede isa lang kumilos. Kumbaga tulong-tulong lahat para mapaganda 'yung isang scene o 'yung isang show, so lahat po 'yan collaborative effort,” he explained.

Despite his rich experience in showbiz, however, Dingdong still gets nervous. An instance that proved it was when he first shot a scene with the Diamond Star.

“Noong una talaga, sobrang na-starstruck ako kay Ms. Maricel and aaminin ko po, kinabahan ako sa first few scenes,” he shared. “Maganda po na may ganung feeling kasi later on, siya na nagsasabi sa ‘kin na ‘it’s okay’ so nabibigyan niya ako ng tips. Nakakatuwa po matuto from the Diamond Star.”

Aside from being married to Millete, the character of Maricel Soriano in the show, Dingdong’s role is also married to Shiela, portrayed by Lovi Poe.

Dingdong said that he wouldn’t get married to two women in real life, but when one finds himself in that situation, the important thing is to stand by your decision and know better next time.

“Bilang human being, may mga pagkakataon talaga na darating ang isang pagkakamali o isang situation kung kailan maaaring 'yung pinili mo sa instance na 'yun, akala mo tama,” he explained. “Pero ang pinaka-importante siguro sa lahat is paano mo paninindigan 'yung desisyon na ginawa mo later on para sa ikabubuti ng buhay ng lahat.”
